Watch Out!: Ford Introduces New Taurus-based Police Car

The next time you’re pulled over for speeding, you might be surprised by what you see in the rearview. Ford recently unveiled its replacement for the Crown-Victoria-based Police Interceptor — and it’s a Taurus.

“Ford first introduced its police package in 1950 and today the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is the industry leader,” explains Jalopnik. “The automaker’s dominated the streets to the point that over the last five years, Ford’s controlled more than 70% of the patrol cars sold. … Unfortunately, the Crown Vic’s Panther-platform’s getting a little long in the tooth — it hasn’t seen a redesign in over 15 years.”

Advan RZ Coming Soon Compliments of Status Autoworks

UPDATE: Just got word that my rims are in customs.

My boy Dave from Status Autoworks has my RZ’s coming soon. We’re looking at 19×10 with a +22 offset in gunmetal. Very aggressive but with no rub and a nice stance. 

I have to give much thanks to Status Autoworks. Without Dave, Rick and Gilbert it would be impossible for me to mod my car. The Evo is my third car that I’ve entrust to their capable hands.  Each time they’ve returned my car to stock, sold all my parts and gave me credit for new mods.  So thanks guys for the years of service and advice on how to get my cars just the way I picture them. Even with me being on the East Coast, they’ve been able to get me what i want for my car at great prices.

Currently Yayo is in the shop. A few weeks ago I was sitting at a light and some butt head ran into me. As I pulled off the road he kept going. No worries, Shannon Auto Body is working on her and I sould have her back on Monday or Tuesday. So by next weekend I’ll have some up todate photo’s.

It’s Up and Running

I created PROJECT X as a platform to showcase my creative outlet and the building of my EVO X. Obviously X stands for Lancer Evolution Ten. This is my first Evo, before that I owned: Silver 2007 BMW 335, a Silver 2006 Range Rover Sport and a Black 2000 Lexus IS 300.

Mod List:

Lexus IS300: No Mods

Range Rover: Rimspeed rims 22×10

BMW335: KW v2 coilovers, BBS RS-GT 19x 9.5 front and 19×10 rear, H&R sway bars, Huper Optic 40% tent 50% on windshield.
